Himalayan Institute of Technology (HIT) is a private college in dehradun, India founded in 2001. HIT offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Computer Technology, Business Administration, Agriculture Sciences & Hospitality & Management. The Himalayan Institute of Technology is run by the Himalayan Ecology and Literacy Program Welfare Association, one of the leading institutes located in Dehradun, a rapidly growing city in Uttarakhand. The institute is affiliated with HNBG Central University and Sri Dev Suman University and is approved by UGC, Ministry of HRD, Government of India and approved by Government of Uttarakhand. HIT was ranked as one of the top institutions in India by CSR in 2018 and 2019. The institute also won the Outstanding Higher Education Award from Amar Ujala in 2016 and 2017. The institute differs from other institutes with its holistic approach and unique forward-looking planning in technical and vocational education in cutting-edge technology.
